WE Gloss pt. II by KBG

I’ve always had an interest in seeking out genuine, notable, and unique brands. Their stories excite me, especially when they have an obvious purpose that goes beyond what "everyone else" does, providing a deeper meaning to consumption.

Enter the beauty industry. The realm of skin care brands is nearly infinite. The market is heavily saturated with brands that feed customers endless hopes and dreams for better skin. Luckily, girls can rest from this endless search and finally settle with a skin care brand that they can trust, while watching radiant skin magically appear right before their eyes. I am talking about the lovely Glossier. And let me tell you, it is magic.

I was sucked into Glossier though a blog I follow religiously, Into the Gloss. Being a total advocate for social, I love when brands are able to communicate effortlessly with their followers and relate to them in their everyday lives; that’s exactly what Glossier does on the daily. Their cool vibes, witty remarks, real feels, and overall aesthetic / care for beautiful skin is what pulled me in. Glossier feels like my home girl (talk about an impressive social media presence! Check out their IG).

SPV already gave the rundown of Glossier in WE Gloss Pt I post after visiting their rad Summer Fridays event. I'm here to chat about my experience on the opposite side of the country with the rad Glossier products

Glossier's online content is so convincing, I headed to their shop and immediately and purchased the Glossier Summer Set Phase 1. This set came with the following: Perfecting Skin Tint, Balm Dot Com, Soothing Face Mist, and Priming Moisturizer. Now let me tell you all about the goodness that just arrived (via FedEx in the most adorable packaging ever) into my life.

So without further ado, let’s review!

Perfecting Skin Tint

The first part to the set is the Perfecting Skin Tint. If you are looking for that makeup that has the no makeup feel, look no further. When applying, it literally feels and looks like you are wearing nothing on top of your naturally glowing, dewy skin. It is light and acts more as ‘security blanket’ than foundation. For a little extra lovin', throw on a dab of concealer and brush of powder and you're good to go!

Balm Dot Com in Coconut

Next is the Coconut Balm Dot Com, aka the lip saver. It is a small but might tube filled with a very thick universal skin salve. It almost has the consistently of Vaseline, yet not as greasy and seriously smells like the tropics. So far, I like to put it on my lips and nails before going to sleep. There is no need to apply a lot too; a little goes a long way! After one use I instantly saw a difference. Goodbye dryness and hellooo hydration. I would definitely say this is one of my favorite products by Glossier. Bring it on, winter!

Soothing Face Mist

Onto the Soothing Face Mist. It smells amazing and is full of aloe, glycerin, and rose water, which boosts and calms your skin. I mean, who doesn't want a spritz of mist on their face when they feel exhausted and need a pick-me-up? It's a total refresher and leaves you feeling ultra calm. Kid you not, I use it probably 3-4 times a day: morning, mid-day, and before I go to sleep. My skin loves it and I think yours will too.

Priming Moisturizer

Lastly, the Priming Moisturizer. It does what it says - it primes and it moisturizes! I like to use it in the morning after cleansing my face and using the Soothing Face Mist. You can literally feel the difference in your skin after applying. It absorbs perfectly in your skin and I haven't had any dryness since I've been using it! It pairs perfectly with the Perfecting Skin Tint (no pun intended) and sets your makeup for the day. The moisturizer definitely is a two in one special and I'd say that is a win-win.

Needless to say, I love this brand. They are doing incredible things and redefining skin care in the beauty industry. If you haven't checked out their Instagram, website, or Into the Gloss, do it! You won't regret it. Much love to you, Glossier!
