Happy MLK Day! Today was simply a beautiful day. I was able to break away from the desk and have a day in the city (with my babe Ari!). First stop was an amazing and quick brunch at Cheryl's on 12th, followed by a killer workout at Burn Cycle. We ended our day with long walks through the Pearl District and downtown.
Brunch at Cheryl's on 12th.
We stumbled upon a lovely curated shop filled with plants, apothecary knick-knacks, handmade jewelry, home goods, and more. Needless to say, we spent a gooooooood chunk of time in there. I came out with the Herbivore Sea Mist Texturizing Salt Spray (been eyeing this brand for a long time!) and a couple things for the apartment. Such good finds there! Check out the shop Porch Light, here.
Though my legs and feet were exhausted from a kick-ass cycling class followed by walking blocks on blocks on blocks, being out and about was well worth it. It is always good to step away from the every day routine and catch a breath of fresh air and reflect. Now back to work! I'll leave you with one of my favorite MLK quotes:
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
Peace, WE babes.
